This native tree is known by the common names of Tineo, Tenío. Its scientific name is Weinmannia trichosperma Cav. and belongs to the Cunoniaceae or Cunoniaceae family.  The Weinmannia trichosperma tree is a species native to Chile, and is also found in Argentina. In Chile it is developed in the regions of Maule, Biobío, Araucanía, Los Rios, Los Lagos, Aysén, Magallanes.
